Annual Laksharchana
How to Perform Annual Laksharchana
- The word “Laksh” in Sanskrit means “Lakh”. Archana refers to the act of offering prayers and praises to the deity.
- Laksharchana, therefore, involves performing one lakh repetitions of Lalitha Sahasranama and also conducting Kumkumarchana for 10 times.
- This ritual typically takes place over a designated period, often spanning several days or even months, and involves a large number of devotees. Each participant chants the mantra individually, keeping count of their repetitions using a set of prayer beads, known as a mala.
- The combined efforts of 1000 participants from various cities contribute to reaching the target of one lakh repetitions or a group of 11 priests would complete the archana through a Youtube Live session in a duration of 5 hours.
- This grand-scale worship is believed to invoke divine blessings, purify the environment, and bring spiritual upliftment to both the participants and the community as a whole.
